Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit my Lancer if I have the Rockford sound system? Yes — both Standard and Premium are compatible with the Rockford Fosgate factory amplified system. Note that fader and amplifier level control are not supported, but all other audio functions work normally.
How do I know if I have Standard, MMCS or Rockford? Rockford models have "Rockford Fosgate" badging on the speakers and head unit. MMCS models have a factory navigation screen. If you have neither, you have the standard system. Not sure — contact us with a photo and we'll confirm.
Which version suits a 2014–2017 Lancer? You need the Premium version. The Standard is compatible with 2007–2013 models only.
Is Android Auto wireless? Yes — both wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are included on both versions.
Will my steering wheel controls still work? Yes — steering wheel controls are retained via the included plug and play harness.
Do I need professional installation? The unit is plug and play however we strongly recommend a professional car audio installer, particularly if you have a Rockford system.
