Standard Installation — $250

Covers mainstream Japanese, Korean and domestic vehicles — Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Holden, Ford (non-Euro models).

Euro Installation — $300

Covers BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and other Euro marques with CANbus-integrated factory systems.

Euro vehicles typically need CANbus module programming/coding to retain factory features (parking sensors, park distance display, factory reverse camera) — this extra complexity is why Euro installs are priced above standard.

• CANbus setup and module coding via OBD where required
• Steering wheel control + factory display retention (where supported by the vehicle)
• More involved dash disassembly to protect factory trim
• Bench time: approx. 2.5 - 3 hours

Van & 4WD Installation — $300

Covers Toyota HiLux, LandCruiser and Prado, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X, Mitsubishi Triton, and other dual-cab and van platforms.

These vehicles often use larger fascia kits and owners frequently add extras during the same visit — dash cam hardwire kits, dual-battery/voltage-cutoff wiring, or UHF radio prep — which is why Van & 4WD is priced above standard.

• Optional: dash cam hardwire integration done in the same visit (ask when booking)
• 4WD accessory wiring compatibility check
• Bench time: approx. 2.5–3 hours

Already got a VIOFO dash cam or planning to add one? Mention it when booking and we'll hardwire it during the same install.

Installation FAQs

How long does installation take?
Standard installs take approx. 2.5 hours. Euro and Van/4WD installs typically take 3 hours due to additional CANbus coding or larger fascia kits.

Do I need to book ahead?
Yes — installations are by appointment at our Campbellfield workshop. Call 1300 096 212 or book online to lock in a time.

What if my vehicle isn't listed under any category?
Call us on 1300 096 212 with your make and model — we'll confirm the right category and whether any additional parts are needed.

Can I get a dash cam fitted at the same time as my head unit?
Yes — let us know when booking and we can hardwire a dash cam in the same visit to save you a second trip.

Can I bring my own head unit?
Yes — we can supply and install one of our tested kits, or install a head unit you've already purchased elsewhere. 🔧

For units purchased elsewhere, a $50 BYO installation surcharge applies on top of the listed install price.

A few things to know:

• We can't guarantee fitment for a car/unit combination not purchased from us.
• If the unit turns out to be faulty or incompatible, or specific settings are required from the manufacturer, the surcharge still applies , and a follow-up appointment may be needed to complete the job.
• It's the customer's responsibility to reach out to the BYO unit supplier for any manufacturer-specific settings or support.
• For guaranteed fitment and full warranty on both the unit and the install, we recommend buying your head unit through Extnix — we'll match it to your exact car.
