Let us Start – Journey from Sad to Fab!

Start

Safety First - Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Supported unit – Only following unit is supported.

1 – Take the Aircon panel out using a pry tool. Air con panel is held by 4 Clips.

2 – Catiously pull out the main radio fascia, it is also held by multiple clips.

3 – Ensure all the clips are saved as they will be relocated to the new extnix infotainment system for Mazda BT50 to secure it.

4 – Note the position of the screws holding the factory radio and top trip computer.

5 – Pull out the factory radio very slowly and avoid breaking the factory radio connector.

6 – In 2012-2015 GT or XTR models with GPS on top small screen, the radio antenna is located there. Cable connected to the main unit will be just a pass through. When top screen is removed there will be no reception on the pass-through cable. In this case, please connect the supplied radio antenna patch cable to the antenna connector behind the top screen.

7 – Secondary harness is connected behind the top screen.

8 – Use pry tool to dislodge the secondary harness and move it closer to the main harness.

9 – Connect the supplied primary and secondary harnesses, Canbus module and the Radio antenna.

10 – Relocate all the clips and the air vents to the new Extnix frame.

11- Run the additional supplied cables for the GPS, 4G Antenna, Bluetooth Mic and USBs.

GPS and 4G Antenna – In dash as high a possible avoiding metal parts on top. Ideally in the gap behind the top screen. Top screen will not be installed.

Bluetooth Mic – Ideal locations include top of the A-pillar, or on Steering column.

USB Ports – In the Glove box.

Additional Tips – For the Reverse camera, pass the cable through the gromet located behind the 2nd row seats (double cab) on the passenger side.

Reverse Cam Patch lead will connect to Port 7

CanBus will connect to Port 4
