Step-by-Step Installation (MY12–MY19 D-MAX / MU-X)
Step 1: Remove Factory Head Unit
Use trim tools from bottom and remove the Air con / climate control unit. 
Pull the aircon / climate control unit enough to allow access to 2 x Philips screws. Do not dislodge the controls.
Access the 2 x Phillips Screws hold the Factory head unit at bottom.
After removing the screws pull the unit out. Unit is held by 4 x plastic clips 2 on left and 2 on right
Disconnect hazard lights and other switches.
Unplug all connectors, including antenna and factory camera.
Step 2: Connect Extnix Plug-and-Play Harness
Connect the Extnix wiring harness to your factory plugs.

Step 3: Install Accessories
- GPS antenna: Under dash or near windscreen
- External microphone: A-pillar or steering column

USB ports: Route to glovebox or centre console

Step 4: Mount & Secure Head Unit
- Transfer clips to Extnix frame.
- Test the head unit by turning ignition ON before final assembly.
- Clip the fascia back in place.
Step 5: Enable Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto
- Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.
- Pair with the head unit.
- The unit will auto-connect every time you start your vehicle.

Retaining Your Factory Reverse Camera (MY12–MY19)
Many MY12–MY19 D-MAX & MU-X models come with a factory reverse camera. You can retain it using a compatible camera retention adapter.
Steps:
- Locate the factory camera plug.
- Connect to the retention adapter
- Plug adapter into Extnix RCA “CAM IN”.
- Connect Reverse trigger
- Test by engaging reverse gear.

Installing a New Reverse Camera (Optional Upgrade)
If your vehicle does not have a camera or you want an upgraded view:
- Mount camera above the number plate.
- Run video cable to head unit RCA input.
- Connect reverse trigger wire to reverse light.
- Test functionality and adjust camera angle.
