What's included in your Tank 300 install
- Front camera mounting behind the rear-view mirror, so it stays out of your line of sight.
- Hidden front cable routed through the roof liner and down the A-pillar, behind the curtain airbag (never in front of it), so it can't interfere with deployment.
- Rear camera fitted with the cable run through the factory grommet into the boot and secured neatly.
- Hardwired to the fuse box with switched (ACC) and constant power, so parking mode can record while the car is parked.
- Low-voltage cutoff set to protect your battery. On this install, it was set to 12.0V.
- Setup and handover: we configure the camera and app, check recording, and show you how to download footage.

The fuse box layout can differ between the Tank 300 Diesel, Hybrid and petrol models. Online guides often show fuse positions for one variant only, and tapping the wrong circuit can cause battery drain or a camera that won't power on.
We check the correct fuse circuits for your specific vehicle before we start, so the install is right the first time.

How long does a Tank 300 dash cam install take? A front and rear install usually takes around 2-3 hours. You can wait at our Campbellfield workshop or drop the car off.
Will a hardwired dash cam drain my battery? No. We set a low-voltage cutoff, so the camera switches off before the battery runs too low to start the car. On the install in our video, the cutoff was set to 12.0V.
Can you install a dash cam on a Tank 300 Hybrid or petrol? Yes. We fit all Tank 300 variants and check the correct fuse circuits for your model, since the layout can differ from the Diesel.
Will the wires be visible? No. Cables are hidden through the roof liner, A-pillar and rear trims. The front cable runs behind the curtain airbag, never in front of it.
Can I bring my own dash cam? Yes. Bring-your-own installs carry a $50 surcharge, paid at your appointment.
Does the dash cam record while the car is parked? Yes. Hardwiring to the fuse box enables parking mode, so the camera can record incidents while your Tank 300 is parked.
